ABOUT
This work titled Microbios is divided into ten micro-parts of one minute maximum duration where each micro-part corresponds to a type of microbe.

The idea of extrapolating to the sound these tiny living beings with a basic biological organization, with multiple shapes and sizes and with different qualities, it means for Roberto López, the reflection on our existence purely determined by the behavior of these micro-organisms, or in terms of matter, as the macro-matter is built and depends on the micro-matter, where if we start with different scales and perspectives, the humanity would behave like microbes of an bigger ecosystem.

To represent this microbial world, Roberto López used in the work, certain parameters such as the micro-structuring, the micro-articulation, micro-texture, micro-tonality, the controlled improvisation, new timbric resources or the time flexibility among others.

Microbios was awarded with the first prize in the Injuve meetings 2002 and was premiered at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid under the conduction of Beat Furrer.
